Spinning Babies Website is a project of Gail Tully, a homebirth midwife in Minnesota, USA. She is a Certified Professional Midwife (CPM), credentialed by North American Registry of Midwives. Waterbirth International was begun in 1988, in Santa Barbara, California, by a concerned group of women and men who wanted to "ensure that waterbirth is an available option for all women." From that humble beginning in the living room of Barbara Harper and Harry Kislevitz's home, more than twenty five years ago, Waterbirth International has become a leading voice in seeking a gentler, kinder, and yes, easier way to welcome babies into the world.

ICAN is a non-profit organization working to improve maternal-child health by preventing unnecessary cesareans through education, providing support for cesarean recovery, and promoting Vaginal Birth After Cesarean (VBAC).
